Celtic v Bayern Munich: Champions League Fixtures Confirmed

Celtic’s Champions League knockout play-off dates have been confirmed, with the Hoops set to take on Bayern Munich in a massive European showdown.

The first leg will take place at Celtic Park on Wednesday, February 12, with an 8pm kick-off, as Brendan Rodgers’ side look to take a big step towards the last 16.

The return fixture at the Allianz Arena has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, also kicking off at 8pm, where Celtic will aim to defy the odds against the Bundesliga giants.

It’s still unclear whether Celtic fans will be in attendance in Germany, with UEFA potentially handing Celtic an away fan ban after the use of a flare against Aston Villa.

The Celtic Park atmosphere has played a huge role in the club’s European journey so far, and it will need to be at its very best when Harry Kane and co. arrive in Glasgow for the first leg.

Bayern, six-time Champions League winners, are overwhelming favourites, but Celtic have already shown that they can compete with Europe’s elite.

With a packed-out Paradise ready to roar them on, Rodgers’ men will be determined to take the fight to Bayern before heading to Munich for the return leg.

The countdown to another huge European night is officially on.
