Celtic have been urged to reunite with goalkeeper Fraser Forster this summer by John Hartson. It comes after the Englishman was recently put up for sale by Ange Postecoglou at Spurs.
With Joe Hart set to play his last game in hoops this weekend amid his impending retirement, Brendan Rodgers’ need for a new stopper this summer is apparent.
He has already made one Celtic return and given his ability and record, Hartson reckons bringing Forster in would be a wise move.

The Welsh pundit was speaking on the Go Radio football show when he was asked about the situation and whether he would take Forster back. “Yes, I think a lot of supporters will also feel the same”, he said (Go Radio via Football Scotland).
“I think he did nothing but great things last time he was at Celtic. I think he was seen as one of the best goalkeepers they’ve ever had. He was involved in the success at Celtic, made some fantastic saves.
“Why not? If Celtic can do a deal and Brendan Rodgers still feels Fraser Forster is more than capable of coming in. When a goalkeeper like Joe Hart leaves, who has been so successful, you might not replace Joe Hart but you’ve got to try and get something as close to him.
“A lot of people will say Fraser Forster is as good if not better in terms of being the right age, a little bit younger than Joe Hart. So yes, I could see it happening and the budget and wages and everything come together.”
Although Hartson says Forster is younger than Hart, there is only an 11-month age gap between the pair. As well as this, the former Southampton man has been out since February with a broken foot.
While some fans may romanticise another Forster return to Celtic, the negatives of it appear to outweigh the positives.
