Celtic TV have officially confirmed their broadcast schedule for the club’s pre-season campaign, with all but one match available to fans in the UK and Ireland.

Brendan Rodgers’ side will kick off their preparations against Queen’s Park at Lesser Hampden on July 4, before heading across the water to face Cork City on July 8. A behind-closed-doors encounter with Portuguese side Estrela da Amadora follows on July 12.
The first major test comes in Lisbon against Sporting CP on July 16, before the Hoops welcome Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United to Glasgow on July 19. However, due to broadcast restrictions, this fixture will not be shown on Celtic TV in the UK and Ireland.
European giants Ajax arrive at Celtic Park on July 24 in what promises to be a real test of where the team stands heading into the new campaign. The schedule concludes with a match against either Como or Al Ahli on July 26 or 27, rounding off a challenging run of fixtures. [Celtic TV]
The league season is to start the weekend after.
With a league and League Cup double to defend and a Scottish Cup to reclaim, not to mention Champions League qualifiers looming in August, the summer fixtures offer an important chance for Rodgers to get his side firing early.
All eyes will be on new signings, returning loanees, and emerging talents looking to impress over the next month.
