Celtic TV Commentary Mock Clement Quote

The atmosphere at Celtic Park was electric as Celtic moved a significant step closer to claiming the Scottish Premiership title. They secured a crucial victory over a 10-man Rangers team, putting them six points ahead with just two games left to play.

This win not only boosted their points tally but also solidified their superior goal difference, meaning just one more point against either Kilmarnock or St Mirren could seal the deal for the championship staying in Glasgow’s east end.

Amidst the celebrations, Peter Grant and the Celtic TV commentary team couldn’t help but have a little fun at the expense of Rangers’ manager, Philippe Clement. Clement had previously labeled his team the “moral winners” after a dramatic 3-3 draw at Ibrox, where Rabbi Matondo’s late goal salvaged a point for Rangers. The comment sparked some cheeky banter during the post-match commentary.

As Celtic players took their victory lap, Peter Grant quipped, “Do you get three points for a moral victory? I don’t know if that still counts. At least we get the victory and the three points.” His co-commentator, Gerry McCulloch, joined in, adding, “Unfortunately for some, not.”

Celtic fans could not believe the footage that came out of Ibrox just a month ago when Rangers salvaged a point against Celtic at the death. Clement and his team went round the stadium pumping their fists like they’d won the league.

After the game, his moral victory quote has been the source of much ridicule and yesterday was a fine reminder of his idiotic comments.
