It might come as a bit of a surprise to see three Celtic players in the team of the year, after the season we have had but if a case was to be made for any of the squad, these three would put forward the best case.
It has been far from the best season for both Odsonne Edouard and Kristoffer Ajer, who have set such high standards in the last few seasons. However, during spells, they have shown their quality with the Frenchman ending the season as top scorer and Ajer arguably being the best defender in the side this season.
Turnbull has arguably been the shining light in the Celtic team this season.
Playing just over half the campaign coming into the side around November/December time, it pretty much sums up Celtic’s situation this season with the midfielder also picking up the club’s Players and Young player of the year awards.
