Celtic Treble Winner and Free Agent Set For Turkish Move

Several ex Celts have been on the move this summer. Moussa Dembele is set to head to Saudi Arabia meanwhile Aiden McGeady joined Ayr United. The latest former Bhoy who is set to move on to pastures new is Mohamed Elyounoussi.

The Norwegian international was signed by Neil Lennon and spent two seasons on loan at Celtic between 2019 and 2021. The move was never made permanent. Now, he is set to complete a switch to Turkey, according to eshahaber.

Celtic Moi Elyounoussi

Besiktas appears to be the 28-year-old’s likely destination. The Black Eagles have been admirers of the attacker for a while. Positive discussions have already taken place and the club have offered the player a weekly wage of £30,000.

There were murmurs of a potential return to Celtic this summer for Elyounoussi but they have been firmly quashed with this news. Besiktas is a sizeable club and one where the versatile frontman will compete for trophies and play in Europe.
