Celtic-linked striker David Strelec has said “everything is open” regarding his future after firing a hat-trick to secure the Slovakian title for Slovan Bratislava.
Slovan Bratislava’s chief executive, Ivan Kmotrík, has suggested the club might now accept a lower transfer fee for David Strelec, which could make a move easier. This might lead Celtic to try again to sign the striker as they aim to add more attacking threat up front.

Strelec netted his 18th goal in only 20 starts this season, with his treble against Žilina sealing the championship for his side. Strelec was frustrated in January when Slovan Bratislava blocked a £7 million move to Celtic, with Middlesbrough also expressing interest.
Following the collapse of the deal, manager Vladimir Weiss left him out of the next match, citing that the striker wasn’t mentally ready to feature.
He has since bounced back, returning to the pitch and playing a vital role in Slovan Bratislava’s title triumph—strengthening the expectation that a summer move is now on the cards.
He said: (The National),”Everything is open in the summer.
“I’m happy here, I’m at home here. It’s always been my dream to play for Slovan.
“But I won’t deny something could happen. We’ll see how the communication with the club goes.”

But Celtic aren’t the only club interested—others are also keeping an eye on Strelec. The summer transfer window could be a big moment for him and the teams chasing his signature.
Celtic have been consistently linked with both David Strelec and Mathias Kvistgaarden as they look to strengthen their attack ahead of the new season. Strelec came close to joining in January, while Kvistgaarden has been on the club’s radar for well over a year. With both forwards still being monitored, it will be interesting to see which player Celtic decide to push for in the summer window.
Having failed to sign a striker in January, and with Jota now injured and Maeda likely to move wide to the left to fill his void, signing a forward has become even more of a priority.
