Celtic target Jakob Breum could command a transfer fee as high as £7 million, according to Dutch coach Jan van Staa, as the Hoops continue their search for a replacement for Nicolas Kuhn.

Reports over the past few days claim Celtic lodged an opening offer of around £1.5 million for the 21-year-old winger, but Eredivisie side Go Ahead Eagles are holding out for significantly more.
There has been no talk of a second bid from Celtic as of yet.
Breum is seen as a potential replacement for Kuhn, who joined Serie A newcomers Como in a £17 million move earlier this summer. But any hopes of landing the Dane on the cheap appear unlikely.
Speaking to Dutch media, former Twente and Go Ahead manager Jan van Staa was full of praise for the young wide man.
“You know what it is about Breum? Every club is looking for something special… and Breum is certainly special,” said van Staa, quoted by RecordSport. “I am not saying he will have the same career as Dusan Tadic, but he reminds me of him and Twente sold him for £7 million.”
“Breum has already played a lot of games for a young player. It would be a lot of money for him, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if a big club would pay that.”
“Look at his form last season and his potential. If I really wanted to find a special player in the Netherlands, he’d be on that list. You’re looking for extra class and this guy has extra class.”
Celtic need to add another winger to the squad following Kuhn’s exit, with Brendan Rodgers eager to boost attacking depth, which currenlty has just three fit wingers. That coudl shrink to two if Yang makes an exit.
Whether Celtic are willing to meet Go Ahead’s valuation remains to be seen, but van Staa’s comments suggest that Breum is a serious talent destined for a high-profile move.
