Over the past few months, reports from Brazil have stated Celtic are interested to sign Fernando Henrique, however, a report from Football Scotland has knocked back this claim and stated that Celtic are not interested in signing the player.

The midfielder was relegated this season with his team Gremio and it was thought he would be one of the players the club would be open to selling. This may be true but his destination will not be the east end of Glasgow.

It did seem a strange link at the time, but looking in the J-League a year ago would have been too. We want Celtic to be increasingly open with their scouting network and sign talent which will be utilised within the squad before being sold on for profit.

The midfield is light, and signings will be needed to add quality depth to the area so that if an injury crisis does occur the squad will be able to cope with players sitting out.
