Celtic to Pay-Off £1.4million Transfer Flop – Reports

There have been rumours for around a week or so now that Celtic are looking to cut Marvin Compper’s deal short after his latest injury setback.

The German has only played ONE game for Celtic since joining from RB Leipzig on a deal totalling £1.4million.

Brought in to be a calming and experienced head in defence, the player has had a succession of injuries which have rendered him useless to this point.

It’s believed that Celtic may want to cut their losses on the player as they look to bolster their defence for the rest of this season.

Compper has just under two years left of his two and a half year deal and if Celtic could get him off the books it would free up wages and space in the squad.

This is purely rumours at this point but it does not seem so farfetched at this point.
