Celtic have signed Rudi Vata’s son, Rocco, on a five-year deal which will see the youngster move through the academy and eventually into the developmental side.
The 13-year-old has been with Celtic’s youth team this year and has been participating in events with Celtic. The deal will ensure he sticks around and is trained up by the club as well as going to school at St Ninians.
There’s a lot of excitement around Rocco and his potential as he develops. Celtic have never been more focused at creating their own talent to bring through the first team and eventually sell on. Kieran Tierney is the perfect template for the coaches at Lennoxtown.
A family friend announced the deal on social media.
Delighted to see young Rocco Vata has signed a 5 year deal with Celtic… Like Father, Like Son… 🥰🥰⚽️⚽️💚 xxx @SimonDonnelly13 pic.twitter.com/XugB3uFc0w

His dad played for Celtic between 93-96 and played again briefly in Scotland with St Johnstone in 2003. Could we have another Vata in the team one day?
