Engels stepped up to take the penalty and slotted it low to the left, past goalkeeper Trevor Carson, putting Celtic ahead early and giving them a strong foundation for the rest of the match.

Idah Doubles the Lead 

Celtic’s second goal came just before half-time in the 45th minute, when Adam Idah pounced on a rebound after Carson made a double save. Jota’s initial shot was blocked, and the ball fell to Idah, who struck it into the roof of the net to send Celtic into the break with a commanding 2-0 lead.

Maeda Adds to the Advantage 

Just ten minutes into the second half, Celtic made it 3-0 thanks to Daizen Maeda. After Jota’s perfectly timed cross from the left. Maeda’s movement was impeccable, and his header flew past Carson into the bottom right corner. Celtic were cruising at 4-0, and the match was well and truly out of Dundee’s reach.

Maeda’s Second Goal

Maeda wasn’t done yet. In the 59th minute, he completed his brace, making it 4-0. This time, it was a lovely through ball from Arne Engels, Maeda controlled it well and finished with precision, placing the ball into the bottom corner with his right foot. Maeda’s sharpness and clinical finishing were on full display here, further asserting Celtic’s dominance.

Engels Bags His Second 

Arne Engels struck again in the 71st minute to make it 5-0, with a powerful shot from outside the box. Although the shot took a slight deflection, it was still a well-hit effort that left Carson with no chance. Engels’ persistence and presence in the attacking third earned him his second goal of the game, further cementing Celtic’s control.

Kühn Completes the Rout 

The icing on the cake came in the 81st minute from substitute Nicolas Kühn. Picking up a pass from Alistair Johnston, Kühn unleashed a brilliant left-footed shot from the right side of the box that found the top-left corner. It was a stunning strike that completed the 6-0 rout and ensured that Celtic would leave the pitch with all three points in emphatic fashion.
