OSCAR GLOUKH has signed a new contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, after the highly rated midfielder was the subject of interest from Celtic ahead of the January transfer window. [RecordSport].

Celtic had scouts watching the 18-year-old as he became a regular starter for his club and Israel’s under-21 squad.
With the midfielder’s contract set to expire in 2023, Gloukh has signed a two-year extension, which will see his contract run out in 2025.
However, there has been a release clause included in his contract, with €7 million enough to skip negotiations with the club and talk to the player directly.
As per @razamir29 — Oscar Gloukh has a €7M release clause on his new contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Well, Manor Solomon & Liel Abada have been sold for less. Curious to see if any club will trigger this clause.
At the moment, he’s on the way to a double-double in the league.

It’s not the largest fee in the world, and one that Celtic can certainly afford, but the chances of a deal being struck are slim, especially when top clubs from top leagues are watching the player and considering making their move to secure the talent.
It’s one to watch for sure, but Celtic’s links are still speculation, and nothing has happened regarding a potential move yet.
