Celtic’s summer transfer plans are beginning to take shape as the club gears up for what promises to be a busy window.

With Kieran Tierney already secured on a pre-contract agreement, the Hoops have moved early to address key areas of the squad – and they’ve not stopped there.
According to Scott Burns of Record Sport, Celtic’s recruitment focus is centred on bolstering three core positions: central midfield, defensive midfield, and the right wing. These areas have been identified as priorities as Brendan Rodgers looks to build a squad capable of sustaining domestic dominance and making a mark in Europe.
The club’s late move to hijack Giorgi Kochorashvili’s transfer to Sporting Lisbon highlighted their proactive approach. Although the Georgian midfielder ultimately signed with the Portuguese outfit, Celtic’s pursuit shows their intent to strengthen the engine room.
The departure of Greg Taylor, whose contract expires in the summer, adds another item to the shopping list. While Tierney will return to fill the starting left-back slot, Celtic will need to secure a capable alternative who can offer depth and challenge for a place in the side. Jeffrey Schlupp remains an option, with the Crystal Palace man impressing during his loan stint, and Rodgers has hinted that a permanent deal could be considered.
This summer will be critical for Rodgers as he looks to build a squad ready for another title tilt and a return to the Champions League group stage. The groundwork is already being laid, and fans can expect more movement as the window approaches.
