Celtic Target Set to Snub All Offers

Reports this week have claimed Celtic might just be looking to bring Ben Davies in six months after he snubbed them for a strange move to Liverpool.

The defender was a panic buy for the former European champions and due to injury and the manager not using him, Ben has yet to make an appearance for his club.

Reports suggest Ben is not willing to give up on his Anfield dream just yet and will rebuff offers this summer to try and make an impact at the club.

SunSport claim Davies is determined to make the breakthrough at the Premier League side even though he’s up against it with the likes of Virgil van Dijk likely to keep him out of the side.

Verdict

There’s no real evidence Celtic have a firm interest in bringing Davies to the club. We should move on from that particular transfer and look elsewhere.

The signing of Carl Starfelt from Rubin Kazan looks like a real possibility – a strong, 26-year-old Swedish defender who could be just what the club needs.
