Supposed Celtic target and Wigan Athletic attacker, Kyle Joseph has been offered a new contract at the English League One side.
It was reported around April time that Celtic was looking to secure the services of the 19-year old frontman on a pre-contract with clubs such as Newcastle United and Glasgow rivals Rangers also interested.
However, yesterday Wigan announced their retained list on the club’s official website. and revealed that Joseph is still yet to decide on where his future lies and has also been offered a new deal to stay with the Latics going forward.
Celtic have already made some early moves in the transfer window, particularly in a similar market to a player like Joseph.
Having completed a deal on a pre-contract for Sheffield Wednesday’s Liam Shaw and reportedly closing in on a deal for Scunthorpe’s Joey Dawson, it seems like a market that the club is trying to utilise.
