CeltsAreHere.com have been advised the Celtic shop in Glasgow City centre will be closed on Saturday due to safety concerns.
It appears an online campaign by Ibrox fans to get people out on the street to take part in an illegal march to George square is the catalyst for the decision to close the shop.
Last time out when rival fans made a mess of Glasgow City centre, the shop was targeted and windows smashed. If the shop was open the club obviously feel the staff could be in the firing line this time around and they’ve taken the decision not to open.
It’s a sensible move under the circumstance but entirely depressing that it has to happen.

We’re coming out of lockdown slowly but surely. However, there’s been a warning from the government Glasgow is in a precarious position and with cases on the rise, mass gatherings could be something that tips things the wrong way for the City and surrounding areas.
People need to take personal responsibility and do the right thing for the City, there’s plenty of time to party when things get back to normal.
