This early goal has given the Hoops the best possible start and set the tone for their dominant first-half performance.
Hatate added a sensational second for Celtic after a ball into the box from Alistair Johnston found Daizen Maeda.
Maeda mishit the ball, but it fell to the Japanese midfielder, who struck it off the far post and into the net.
St Mirren’s goalkeeper, Ellery Balcombe, was unable to get close to the ball, leaving Celtic with a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Celtic have looked in control from start to finish in an excellent display, considering they are without Matt OโRiley.
They may consider themselves unlucky not to be further ahead, given their dominance throughout the match.
