Celtic Surge to 2-0 Half-Time Lead Against St Mirren

Celtic lead 2-0 at half-time against St Mirren at the SMiSA Stadium in Paisley.

The Hoops have been dominant throughout the first half, with Callum McGregor opening the scoring early and Reo Hatate adding a second.

With Matt O’Riley missing from the starting 11, McGregor and Hatate have stepped up, with the Celtic skipper opening the scoring just 2 minutes and 32 seconds into the match with a wonder strike.

This early goal has given the Hoops the best possible start and set the tone for their dominant first-half performance.

Hatate added a sensational second for Celtic after a ball into the box from Alistair Johnston found Daizen Maeda.

Maeda mishit the ball, but it fell to the Japanese midfielder, who struck it off the far post and into the net.

St Mirren’s goalkeeper, Ellery Balcombe, was unable to get close to the ball, leaving Celtic with a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Celtic have looked in control from start to finish in an excellent display, considering they are without Matt Oโ€™Riley.

They may consider themselves unlucky not to be further ahead, given their dominance throughout the match.
