The departure of Kyogo Furuhashi to Rennes two weeks ago left the Hoops light up front, with only Adam Idah and Johnny Kenny as recognised strikers. Despite knowing for months that Kyogo would be leaving, the club has yet to secure a replacement, leaving them scrambling for a last-minute deal.

With the deadline approaching, no concrete names have emerged, raising concerns that Celtic may not be able to get a deal done in time.

The Hoops have been active in other areas, securing Jeffrey Schlupp on loan from Crystal Palace and negotiating exit for Daniel Cummings, but the lack of a new forward remains a major concern.

As it stands, Rodgers’ side are running out of time to land a new No.9. Unless a surprise move emerges in the final hours, Celtic may be forced to finish the season with their current options, leaving Idah as the main striker for the remainder of the campaign.

With the window closing at 11pm, the Hoops will need to act fast if they are to bring in the firepower needed to compete on all fronts.
