CELTIC have called in the professionals to sort out the pitch and lay down the foundation for a new one. The club’s wasting no time in the close season getting Celtic Park ready for Champions League qualifiers which start in July.
The club are currently still counting the cost of Brendan Rodgers decision to get a hybrid pitch installed.
Premium pitches posted a video of their team starting the arduous task of getting the pitch ready so they can lay a brand new one at the end of NEXT season.
Premium Pitches wrote on Twitter: “Modern pitches require the old organic material removing at the end of the season ready for fresh seed and sand for a new pitch next year.”

Celtic spent a lot of money getting the pitch renovated and a new hybrid pitch installed at Brendan Rodgers request. It took two seasons to install and while the pitch looked sleek at first there was issues with it over the winter.
Rodgers told the media there was a disease on the pitch at the time and it was unfortunate. Celtic are now caught in a cycle of paying out for this hybrid pitch with no guarantee it will stay fresh and be conducive to play good football in the later parts of the season.
