Celtic Starting XI Vs Rangers As Brendan Rodgers Makes Huge Striker Decision

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has named the Celtic starting 11 to face Rangers in the final of the Scottish Cup this afternoon at Hampden.

The Irishman had one major call ahead of the game: whether to go with Kyogo Furuhashi or Adam Idah.

With Kyogo scoring against St. Mirren and Idah scoring against Kilmarnock in recent games, each player has shown that they are capable of leading the Hoops’ frontline.

Rodgers has decided to go with the tried and tested Kyogo, who has already scored two goals against Rangers this season, with Idah netting once.

Idah will undoubtedly have a big part to play off the bench, though, with his physicality and holdup play posing a different threat to Kyogo’s runs in behind defenders.

With players like Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales, James Forrest, and Daizen Maeda all rested against St. Mirren last time out, it was very clear that they would start this afternoon’s match.

Here is your Celtic starting 11 in full – Hart, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, O’Riley, Hatate, Forrest, Maeda, Kyogo.

Kick-off for the match is 3pm and it is live on BBC One Scotland and Premier Sports 1.
