Celtic Starting XI; One Major Surprise; Ibrox Call-Ups Benched

Celtic has just announced the squad for their game against St Mirren on Saturday and there’s just one big surprise this week.

Kobayashi finds himself back on the bench and Iwata has taken his place next to Carl Starfelt.

Although more of a defensive midfielder, the Japanese star has played centre-back during his career.

We’re unsure if Ange is testing how well Tomoki will do at the back or if he’s simply making it clear to Kobayashi and others that the game at Ibrox was unacceptable.

Cameron Carter-Vickers’ absence means there’s a massive vacuum to fill in the squad. With the cup final coming up, Ange will be looking to finalise his starting XI for that game.

Will Iwata get the nod if he does well against St Mirren.

The bhoys secured the title against Hearts a fortnight ago. They now have the chance to finish the season as strong as possible despite the title being in the bag.
