CALLUM MCGREGOR has made a rather bold prediction, statement or theory depending on where you’re sitting.

The midfielder believes Celtic have a ready-made replacement for Moussa Dembele in…Ryan Christie.

“Ryan has fantastic ability and you’ve seen the tremendous impact he has made when he has come off the bench in our last couple of games. The manager likes him as well.” Callum told the Daily Record.

“Technically, he is at the top level and Moussa’s departure has created a big opportunity for him.

Christie looked like his time at Celtic was running short with not getting much game time in the early going.

Since Dembele has gone, Ryan has made some appearances from the bench with the club short on front men.

McGregor believes Christie has it in him to prove the doubters wrong and fight for his place in the Celtic team.

Many Celtic fans will be sceptical of this – Moussa Dembele was on another level when he was fit and ready to go. McGregor thinks it’s there for the taking.

“I don’t see any reason why he can’t do well for us.

“It’s sometimes just about being patient, waiting for your chance and then taking it.”

Ryan Christie does have great technical ability but does he had the complete package to be a viable replacement to Moussa? It’s highly doubtful.
