Celtic youngster Kyle Ure could be set for a spell in the Championship, with Partick Thistle interested in taking him on loan for the upcoming season.

The former Hoops right-back is reportedly keen to bring Ure to Firhill for the 2025/26 campaign, according to the Daily Record.
Ure has spent time with the first-team squad over the summer, playing in the recent friendly against Sporting CP in Portugal. He was also on the bench for the game against Newcastle United last weekend, though he didn’t get on the park.
It’s believed Brendan Rodgers wants the teenager to continue developing with regular senior football, and a loan move is being considered the best next step for him.

Usually deployed as a holding midfielder, Ure is capable of pushing further forward when needed. He’s made 70 appearances for the B team, scoring six and assisting twice under Stephen McManus. He’s also featured in the UEFA Youth League, where he’s played 13 times for the club.
Back in May, Ure was named Academy Player of the Year following a standout campaign in the Lowland League. Speaking at the awards night, he said he was determined to force his way into Celtic’s senior squad in the coming years.
