Celtic have been given a boost this week ahead of a tough run of fixtures with a Elhamed posting a picture of himself back on the Lennoxtown training field.

The defender has been missing since going off injured against Lazio in Rome.

Neil Lennon earmarked after the winter break for Elhamed’s return but a setback during the week in Dubai pushed the defender’s return back.

Now back in the training field, it’s only a matter of time before Hatem is back in the squad.

Celtic will need to draw on all their resources as they moved forward for the rest of the season. Having Elhamed back with the experience and calmness he brings to the side will be a major boost.

Celtic take on Hearts on Wednesday which would be too soon for the Israeli. The Aberdeen tie could see him back in the squad depending on how he reacts to training.
