It appears as if Jonny Hayes might be saying his goodbyes on Instagram with the player posting a heartfelt message on Friday evening.

The Irishman is out of contract with Celtic next month and while he doesn’t specifically mention his departure — it appears to be a departing message.

Hayes was brought in by Brendan Rodgers and as he points out has had his ups and downs. He’s always gave 100% for the jersey and the highlight of his Celtic career for many is his goal at Ibrox.

If this is the end of the road for Jonny, we wish him all the best. One of football’s good guys and someone who lived the dream.

Celtic have already released Calvin Miller this summer and sold Eboue Kouassi. Hayes would make it three with Craig Gordon also out of contract next month. It’s likely the goalkeeper will move on as well.
