Celtic Star Opens Up About Record Breaking Parkhead Move

ODSONNE EDOUARD has opened up about his summer move to Celtic after the striker became Celtic’s most expensive signing.

The Frenchman spent last year on-loan at Parkhead when he was brought in for cover if Leigh Griffiths and Moussa Dembele got injured.

Both did and the player got his chance, scoring a hat-trick against Motherwell to show his credentials but his two standout appearances were certainly the game at Ibrox and the 5-0 drubbing of Graham Murty’s men as we clinched the league.

In the Ibrox game, all signs pointed to a home win with the game at 2-2 and Celtic reduced to 10 men. Instead of consolidating and holding on to what we had, Brendan Rodgers brought on Edouard who became a hero with the coolest finish you’re ever likely to see from a ten man team.

The Frenchman then went on to score a brace as the bhoys won the league against their Glasgow rivals.

In the summer, the player announced this was just the beginning and he was right.

Celtic spared no expense in bringing the player in from PSG and while Eddy admits it was a risk, he’s happy to see it paying off now.

“It is just over a year now that I have been here since I signed for Celtic and I am feeling really happy.” the striker told Record Sport.

“Of course it is difficult to be without my family but that is a risk you need to take in life and in football if you want to follow your dreams.

“That was a risk I had to take when I chose to come here and I feel as though I have grown up as a person because I did it.

“Life without football isn’t really possible for me. I do lots of things when I’m not playing but it is really all about when I am playing football. That’s all that counts.”
