GIORGOS GIAKOUMAKIS wasn’t photographed at Celtic training on Tuesday as the Bhoys were put through their paces ahead of the match against St Mirren on Wednesday.

Celtic uploaded many photographs showing the squad train in winter conditions. Returns of Anthony Ralston and James McCarthy were shown off as they trained alongside some of Celtic’s new stars hoping to get their debuts under the lights.

The Giakoumakis situation is a strange one; Postecoglou has denied the club has accepted the reported £3 million bid from Japan. Reports suggest that Giakoumakis is weighing up his options, with his representatives in Scotland talking to multiple parties to get a future sorted for the Greek striker.
It’s certainly strange that Giakoumakis was pictured in training, but it could be something so simple, like picking up a knock.
If he’s away, Celtic are weak in the forward areas, with Abada and Maeda likely to be the backup strikers to Kyogo until a signing is brought in, which doesn’t seem imminent.
