Celtic Star Makes Rapid Recovery – Starts For Country

Hatem Abd Elhamed has made tonight’s starting line up against Latvia after missing the weekend’s training due to a mystery virus.

The Celtic defender was a major doubt to play for his country on Tuesday night but after recovering the player took part in Monday’s training session ahead of the tie. The session was enough to convince his coaches he could play in the game.

Elhamed was part of the Israel side who were beaten by Austria last week and he would have been desperate to get onto the field tonight to grab a win for his nations

This is good news for Celtic if the Israeli is 100% over the illness. The fear would be he’s been rushed back and could feel the after effects of playing in Tuesday’s game later in the week.

Celtic are waiting until Thursday to get most of their bhoys back and will be assessing all their international bhoys. The good news for sure is Celtic have reinforcements should Elhamed need extra time to recover.
