CHRISTOPHER JULLIEN believes Celtic fans haven’t seen the last of Odsonne Edouard – even if this season finishes prematurely.
The bhoys are still waiting to find out the outcome of the league season but with no football to play, the topic of what players will be staying and going before the start of next season has inevitably started.
Edouard has two years to go on his Celtic contract but the time would be now to tie the Frenchman up on a longer deal so they can keep him for at least another season without risking him running down his contract.
His teammate and countryman, Jullien was asked about the situation and the defender gave a very positive response to supporters wondering if they’ll see Eddy at Parkhead when they’re finally
“Odsonne is a good player and one day he will have a lot of clubs interested in him.” told Recordport.
“But he’s in a really good place right now with Celtic. He’s done some unbelievable stuff and I really hope that he’ll stay here.
“I enjoy playing with him and I want him to stay for as long as he can. That would be incredible for everyone at Celtic.
“He’s in a really good place. It’s so difficult just now with this situation. People speak about transfers but who knows when football will be back?
“After that, all the other stuff can happen. But don’t worry, I’m sure Odsonne is happy where he is.
“I’m sure he will stay. He is silent, he hides what he is feeling and he’s someone who controls his emotions.
“But he’s a really good guy, trust me. He is quite happy at Celtic.”
Celtic keeping Eddy for the potential ten in a row season would be massive for the club and would really spur us on next season.
Let’s hope Jullien is calling this one right!
