Celtic Star Fined – Speeding Trial Ends in Guilty Verdict

LEIGH GRIFFITHS has been handed a £200 fine and three points on his licence after being found guilty of speeding.

The Celtic striker had been contesting the incident from June last year where Police said they caught Griffiths at 12miles over the speed limit.

The trial took three days for ultimately the softest of fines that Leigh would have likely paid if he had admitted to the offence.

It’s probably cost the player a bit more in legal fees than anything else.

Leigh was in court to hear the verdict hours before Celtic’s Europa League game against Rosenborg.

The striker who has just signed a new four-year deal with the club will be hoping for a different kind of three points tonight.

If he’s making his way back to Celtic Park from Dundee in time for tonight’s game he might want to put his foot down…erm well maybe not.
