Celtic were asked to comment after their city centre store came under attack on Sunday night from mindless yobs.

The attack on the shop took place as rival fans flouted lockdown rules and turned Glasgow into a sorry scene.

The shop, which has been sitting idle with the rest of the retail shops in Glasgow was subject to special treatment and it would be easy to guess why.

A spokesperson for Celtic told SunSport: “This is disgusting, pathetic vandalism.

“The matter has been reported to Police Scotland and hopefully those responsible are identified.

“We are also in dialogue with police to ensure that our premises receive an ongoing adequate level of safety and security.”

It’s a sorry state of affairs and speaks to the mindset of the people who were in town on Sunday evening.

It appears, even when others win things, it’s still all about Celtic. It should be flattering but we’d rather they focused their energy elsewhere.
