The sad passing of Lisbon Lion was announced on Sunday leaving every Celtic supporter around the world devastated. The reaction online has been touching, many have shared their favourite memories and clips of the legend outlining how great a person Bertie really was.
Bertie’s name will go down in the history of Celtic, not only for being part of the European Cup winning team but for how he represented the club, officially and unofficially.
Tonight the club took to social media to show their own tribute to Bertie Auld. On top of the main entrance to the ground, next to the star, the message “Bertie YNWA” was displayed.

Sadly, the sign has now been taken down due to the forecasted weather conditions, however, the club hope to have the display back for Celtic’s home fixture against Aberdeen.

Tonight, as for the past few, a star is shining even brighter for Bertie. May his soul rest in peace.

Bertie Auld, you’ll never walk alone.
