Scott Brown’s appeal for his sending off at Ross County will be heard this week and if you listen to some quarters of the media you would be forgiven if you think there will be police turning up at the hearing to slap the cuffs on Broony.
The condemnation for the challenge and subsequent faux outrage at his appeal becomes even more farcical when the same people are passing off Andy Halliday’s challenge on Patrick Roberts as just a yellow.
Here they are picture in picture.
The referee bottled a very early decision to send Halliday off. Had Collum done so he would be fully justified in his action.
BUT if Mr Halliday escaped with a yellow then why on earth would Scott Brown have to serve out any sort of ban for his challenge at Ross County where the referee initially went for a yellow before changing his mind to red when the County players reacted.
