Celtic has announced that players will be wearing a different sponsorship on the front of their strips this weekend to support the Foundations Christmas appeal.

In domestic games, players are seen with the regular sponsorship logo of betting company Dafabet. But in European away fixtures, that is usually changed due to sponsor regulations in other European countries.
As announced by the club this afternoon, the Hoops will instead be wearing a unique one-off strip in support of the Celtic Foundation’s annual Christmas appeal.
Given the club’s roots, it is brilliant to hear that the first-team players will once again be showing their support to the foundation as we take on Dundee at Dens Park.
In many cases, I actually think that Celtic supporters would rather be able to purchase strips like this, in support of the club’s charity, rather than a betting or alcohol company that we have seen over the years.
Hopefully, in the next few years, we are able to see a shift towards that, with fans at least be given the option to purchase similar strips – especially given the praise it receives each time we play away from home in Europe.
