Anderson, a Scotland Under-21 international, impressed during Celtic’s pre-season but it seems Brendan Rodgers feels he isn’t yet ready for regular first-team action in Glasgow.
Last season, Anderson was loaned to Admira Wacker, part of a developmental partnership with Celtic, where he accumulated significant playing time. This upcoming season could see him at Reading, competing in England’s Sky Bet League One, a move that could offer him the regular minutes he requires at a more competitive level.
He’ll be looking at former teammate Bosun Lawal. After a successful loan stint, he secured a move to Stoke City for £3 million this summer. Anderson will be hoping to showcase his ability and potentially follow in Lawal’s footsteps, making a name for himself and fighting for a place at Parkhead or further afield upon his return.
