Celtic Set to ‘Reactivate’ £3.25m Deal – Reports

There is expectation on Celtic to recruit well in January to make sure they go into the second half of the season fully equipped for the task at hand.

It was reported by SunSport that David Turnbull was still a man very much on Celtic’s list of potential recruits if the player has recovered well from his knee operation.

This has been backed up by RecordSport who believe Celtic could be set to re-activate deal for the Motherwell midfielder. This claiming Celtic would likely return to the Fir Park deal with the exact same terms they all agreed on in the summer before a medical scuppered the deal.

David has been on the sidelines and has yet to kick a ball this season but an update from Keith Lasley has suggested the player could be ready to get back on the field come January.

RecordSports writes: “One of the talent spotter’s (Nicky Hammond) first moves could be to reactivate the Hoops’ interest in Motherwell ace David Turnbull once the forward returns to full fitness.

Turnbull was at the centre of a summer transfer saga which ended when a £3.25m move to Parkhead collapsed after a medical highlighted a knee injury.”

Neil Lennon was hugely keen on the player back in the summer and thought the deal was all but done. It would make sense for Celtic to go back – especially when they never brought in another player in that position in the summer.
