REPORTS in France have claimed Celtic are on the brink of signing Odsonne Edouard on a new big-money deal with a gentleman’s agreement in place to let him go at the end of 2021 season.

We’re not sure how any gentleman’s agreement would work or even be reported on outwith Celtic BUT if the player is set to sign a new deal and we can land nine in a row, it would mean Eddy would be here for the ten in a row tilt.

GFFN have made the claim and Celtic are hopeful of the deal happening.

Edouard is Celtic’s talisman and has made a huge difference in Celtic’s quest for silverware over the past 18months.

To get the Frenchman signed up on a new long term deal would be a fantastic piece of business for the bhoys and give the fans a massive boost.

We have contacted the club for comment but if there is something in it, you’d be sure it will be announced sooner rather than later.
