Celtic Set to Complete £600k Defender Deal

Celtic are set to acquire the services of Shamrock Rovers defender Liam Scaled according to reports from Ireland. The 23-year-old centre back has been on the club’s radar for a while and there now looking to pull the trigger.

The Irish Mirror report Celtic are closing in on a £600k deal for the Irishman and the move will be completed as early as this week.

Celtic do need defensive reinforcements and Scales will 100% be a first team squad member given his age – it excludes him from joining the Celtic B side.

We’ve spoken to a few Shamrock Rover fans over the past few weeks about Liam and they have great things to say about the defender.

It’s all about if he can make the step up and if he’s any better than our current young defender Stephen Welsh who is doing a decent job at the moment.

Celtic need to do some serious work to the back line before the end of the window. Ange Postecoglou has made it clear he needs reinforcements, but willl the board deliver?
