Celtic Set the Standard – Parkhead Sprinklers Go Rogue in 4-1 Win

It was a tale of two teams today as Celtic won 4-1 against Standard Liege.

Edouard, Dembele, McGregor and Mikey Johnston all got on the score sheet as Celtic proved too much for their Belgian opposition.

The Irishman started with his strongest side against Liege as he looked to get his bhoys match sharp for Wednesday.

In the first half, that side scored three goals with Edouard’s goal being the pick of the bunch.

In the second half, there were eleven changes and Celtic were still in command. Some great football between Sinclair, Christie and Mikey Johnston resulted in Celtic’s fourth.

Standard Liege scored a consolation goal but other than that Celtic were in full control.

The only thing that did stop Celtic, momentarily at least, was the sprinkler system which came on randomly during the second half.
