Celtic Set For TV Cup Tie

Celtic’s 4th round Scottish Cup tie against Alloa Athletic is set to be televised on Premier Sports.

The Hoops were drawn to face the Wasps in the earlier rounds of the cup competition, and this afternoon it was announced that the fixture had been picked up as one of the televised games of the round.

The kick-off time and date was also confirmed, with the return of the later 5:30 kick-off times, which we last saw against St Johnstone at Hampden Park just a matter of weeks ago. The sides will face off on the 22nd of January.

A venue for the tie is still to be announced, with the possibility of the game being moved to a bigger ground than the Indodrill Stadium, where Alloa currently play all their home games, being questioned by some supporters.

Of course, the Scottish Cup fixture will be the Hoops first match after the winter break. So, this game might provide the opportunity to see more of a new-look Ange Postecoglou side in the event that the 56-year old adds some early additions to his squad in the January window.
