Celtic Set for Parkhead Announcement – Awaiting Green Light

Celtic are all but set for more friendly action as it is expected to be announced soon that the club will face Irish side Dundalk this coming Saturday.

However, the club will need to wait until the Irish Champions are given clearance to enter Scotland in order to play this game, as reported by the Daily Record.

This confirmation will be to confirm if Dundalk can travel to Glasgow, without having to quarantine for two weeks on their return to Ireland. If that is the case, the friendly will not go ahead as planned.

This game is also expected to be the first of which to trial the new ‘Pass to Paradise’ in which season ticket holders will be able to watch this, behind closed doors game from the comfort of their homes and see how this system will work for league games at the beginning of the new league campaign.

It seems the clubs did have plans to try and test the return of fans to this game, with around 1000 being expected to attend. Plans for this seem to be on hold for now though, as no agreement has been put in place with the Scottish Government yet.
