Celtic Colts will officially discover their fate for next season tonight, at the Lowland League AGM.
Two weeks ago, the Lowland League sides passed a vote that would see Celtic and Rangers Colts enter the division next season, with 11 clubs voting in favour, five against and one side, Kelty Hearts, abstaining their vote.
As reported by Sun Sport, tonight will confirm whether the Celtic youngsters will be lining up in the division next season as they look to make some rule changes to allow the move to go through.
Lowland League chairman, George Fraser said this around tonight’s vote.
“The rule changes will go before the clubs at the AGM and the vote will decide what we do next season.
“It’s up to the clubs to decide.”
With the vote two weeks ago, you would hope from a Celtic point of view that this meeting would simply be a formality and we will see our youngsters officially confirmed for the Lowland League next season.
However, with the backlash that the idea has had from some, there is possibly the chance of things changing at the last minute.
Fingers crossed the latter isn’t the case and this evening will go through smoothly without any controversy.
