THE Glasgow Derby is one of the biggest occasions in Scottish football. This Sunday, Celtic and Rangers will face off in the Scottish Cup semi–final, and the atmosphere is sure to be electric.

However, Celtic has reminded fans that the use of pyrotechnics at the stadium is strictly forbidden. As this is a high–profile fixture taking place in a public space, the club must follow strict safety regulations. The use of pyrotechnics, including flares, smoke bombs, fireworks, and other similar devices, can be extremely are not permitted within Scottish football.

Pyro can help create a great atmosphere, and is pleasing on the eye, with many great displays created over the years.
It would be good to see if there can be a compromise reached, so that can pyro can be used in a safe way, allowing fans to continue creating the terrific displays we’ve seen at Celtic Park and further afield.
