Michel-Ange Balikwisha is reportedly back on Celtic’s radar after scouts were spotted watching the Royal Antwerp winger over the weekend.

The £5million-rated wide man has been linked with the Hoops before, and it’s understood that Brendan Rodgers remains an admirer of the 23-year-old. According to SunSport, Celtic officials were in attendance as Balikwisha featured in Antwerp’s heavy defeat to Union Saint-Gilloise on Saturday.
Balikwisha was previously on Celtic’s shortlist last summer, but a poorly timed injury scuppered any serious movement at that stage. Although he returned to fitness in time for the January window, Celtic and the player opted not to act.
However, with Rodgers and his recruitment team already identifying the right-wing position as one of the key areas to strengthen ahead of the summer, Balikwisha’s name has once again emerged as a potential solution.
While no bid has been lodged, the renewed interest signals that Celtic could look to push forward should the conditions be right.
Celtic are reportedly in the market for a winger this summer.
It remains to be seen whether the Belgian side would be open to selling this summer, but it’s clear Celtic are keeping tabs and may revisit the situation if the opportunity arises.
