Sky Sports have this evening reported are looking my to modernise the club by appointing a Sporting Director with three names, in particular, being in the running.
As reported by Anthony Joseph the names that have been mentioned for the role are David Webb, Fergal Harkin and Matteo Tognozzi being considered. It was also reported that incoming CEO Dominic McKay will play his part in appointing the man in this role.

Moving forward, the next appointment announced should realistically be the sporting director/director of football to take us forward and modernise the club as mentioned by Sky Sports.
The majority of clubs across Europe are moving to this sort of set-up and it looks to be the way forward in modern-day football.
Whoever it is that is put into this role, whether it is one of the three mentioned of another name further down the line, they will play a huge part in another massive decision within the club, the next manager to take over in the summer.
Ideally, we would get someone in that role as soon as possible but if it takes a little time to find the right one, patience will be key.
