Celtic have added a separate Kyogo statement this morning, with the Japanese striker taking to social media earlier. The Hoops added a second message to supporters.
Kyogo leaves for Rennes in Ligue 1 after an unbelievable three and a half years in Glasgow at Celtic, going from a relative unknown signed from Japan to the Hoops’ talisman during his time at the club.

With sadness from supporters over losing such a big figure at the club, Kyogo has created an unbelievable legacy at Celtic, with his consistent goals guiding the Hoops to a level of success that seemed impossible back in 2021.
Putting Celtic on his back alongside the likes of Callum McGregor and Cameron Carter-Vickers, the trio has proven the heart and soul of the club in recent years.
He will be a huge miss for the Hoops, but he does leave with everyone at the club’s best wishes, due to everything that he gave to the club during his time in Glasgow.

It is the strangeness of football that players often leave without an in-person farewell.
Unfortunately for Kyogo and Celtic, that was the case, with the Japanese forward having to jet to France for his medical at Rennes less than 24 hours after he played at Celtic Park against Young Boys to seal a place in the Champions League knockout playoffs.
His time at Celtic will by no means be forgotten in a hurry, with the Hoops having had a number of impressive strikers over the last 12 years, including the likes of Gary Hooper, Leigh Griffiths, Moussa Dembélé, and Odsonne Édouard.
Kyogo stands tall as the best of the lot, with his ability to score when it mattered most in big games, particularly crucial in guiding Celtic to 3 league titles, 2 Scottish Cups, and 3 League Cups.
