Celtic Recruitment Drive Starting at Home

Celtic have started to make tentative moves in the transfer market as Ronny Deila tries to mould his squad for the second half of the season.

Tonight it has emerged that Celtic are hot on the trail of Dundee Utd midfielder Gary Mackay Steven after the club made an approach to the players representatives and contacted the club.

The energetic midfielder is out of contract in the summer and Celtic are free to talk to the player with a view to come in at the end of the season but seemingly Ronny Deila wants him right away and Dundee Utd may be willing to take a cut price deal in the region of 250k as they risk losing him for nothing in the summer.

Sheffield Utd have already had bids for the 24 year old rejected after tabling an 80k bid earlier today. It was quickly thrown out by the Tannadice club.

Now Celtic could be the players next destination.
