Celtic Receive Unexpected International Boost

CELTIC might have their stars back early after Friday evening’s announcement that the Czech Republic can’t participate in Monday’s fixture with Scotland.

Our bhoys played out a 1-1 draw with Ryan Christie getting the goal for his country in a draw with Israel. Steve Clarke and his men were set to make their way to the Czech Republic this weekend but with the cancellation of the Nations game, it’s expected players will be released back to their clubs.

The Czech international team had a couple of coaching staff test positive for the virus and since then things have snowballed.

It would be a boost for Celtic to get their players back in and have longer in training before the game next weekend against Ross County. It would also put many fans minds at ease that the likes of Christie, Forrest and McGregor won’t pick up an injury playing for their country.

It’s strange times and getting club football back has been challenging enough, international football presents even more issues.
