ANGE POSTECOGLOU’S Celtic side have been ranked within the top 50 sides in Europe, despite their disappointing Champions League run so far.
Celtic ranked the 42nd-best team in the continent. It doesn’t sound that impressive, but when you’re ranked above English giants Manchester United and Serie A side Juventus, it does. The Daily Record reports.

Bitter rivals, The Rangers miss out on the top 50 and placed 52nd.
Soccer Power Index has studied teams’ offensive and defensive play and worked out the expected goals for and against an average team. Then, the study ranked the sides in order of best to worst, with Manchester City leading the way, which isn’t very surprising.
Hopefully, Celtic can make this show in the coming Champions League games, albeit the side are unable to progress further into the competition. But, if Shakhtar Donetsk are beaten at Celtic Park, and a at least a point is taken in Madrid, the Hoops could fall into the Europa League.
